GMR Energy is planning to set up a 2×400 MW Combined Cycle Gas Based thermal power plant in Maruthandapalli village in Hosur Taluk, in Krishnagiri District , in Tamil Nadu. Land requirement will be 100 acres. Gas requirement will be 4.0 MMSCMD. Water requirement of 2.4 MLD, will be obtained from Hosur Dam. Air cooled condenser will be installed.
