NTPC to set up 3200 MW thermal power project at Gajmara

NTPC to set up 3200 MW (4 x 800 MW ) thermal power project between villages Manipur and Kundanalli in Uspal Tehsil in Dhenkanal District in Orissa. The land requirement is 3000 acres. Super critical technology will be adopted. Coal will be obtained from Talcher Coalfield. Water requirement will be met from Mundalli Barrage on Mahanadi river.

Jindal Photo to set up 1000 MW thermal project at Pirhasai

Jindal Photo to set up 1000 MW thermal project at Pirhasai in Angul district of Orissa. The project involves setting up of 4 x 250 MW thermal units. The land requirement is estimated as 475 ha which includes 200 ha for ash disposal and 25 ha for township. The ash pond will be at a distance of 2.5 km from the plant. Coal requirement is estimated as 1.204 million TPA for the first phase of 250 MW which will be obtained from Mahanadi Coalfield. MGR system is envisaged for the ultimate capacity. Water requirement is estimated as 60 cusecs to be obtained from Brahmani river at a distance of about 10 km. Closed cycle cooling system with cooling towers will be provided.

Visa Power to set up 1000 MW thermal power project at Brahmanbasta

Visa Power to set up 1000 MW thermal power project at Brahmanbasta in Cuttack district of Orissa. The land requirement is estimated as 600 ha, which includes 250 ha for ash pond. Out of this, 430 ha is agriculture land, 142 ha is grazing land and 12 ha is marshy land. Water requirement is estimated as 109392 kld, which will be obtained from Mahanadi river by pipeline. The coal requirement is estimated as 18750 TPD, which will be obtained from Talchar Coalfield by rail. A stack of height 275 m will be provided.
