RSB Group to set up 1320 MW coal based project in Bodsara in Orissa

RSB Energy (of RSB Transmissions Group ) is to set up 2×660 MW Coal Based Thermal Power Plant of in Bodsara, Markadih, Kapan villages in Janjgir-Champa District in Chhattisgarh. Land requirement will be 1170 acres. Coal requirement will be 6.8 MTPA. Water requirement will be 96 MLD, which will be sourced from the Hasdeo river through a intake well pipeline about a distance of 12 km from the project site. The company has applied for statutory clearances.

NTPC plans to add 500 MW in Kaniha

NTPC, which runs the second largest single location thermal power plant at Kaniha in Talcher in Angul district of Orissa.` NTPC has land and water facilities for the power plant and has commissioned a feasibility study which is likely to get ready by December 2010. To solve its coal linkage for its upcoming project, it has acquired 4 coal mines in Jharkhand.

Sahara India plans 1320 MW Titlagarh thermal unit in Bolangir

Sahara India Power Corp is planning to set up a 1320 MW coal based thermal unit in Titlagarh in Bolagir district of Orissa. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 80,000 million and will up with supercritical technology sourced from East West Power Ltd, Korea. It will go operation by 2014 in two phases. The state owned Idcol is entrusted with the task of acquiring the required 950 acres of land.
