Indiabulls Realtech Ltd to set up 1320 MW (2 x 660 MW) thermal project at Sinnar in Nashik district of Maharashtra. Super critical boiler technology will be adopted. The site is reported to be located in notified SEZ. The land requirement is 1400 acres. Coal requirement is estimated as 6.5 million TPA to be obtained from Western Coalfields Ltd. Water requirement is estimated as 4000 m3/hr to be obtained from river Dharna.

Work on the project started and is expected to commission 2013. Of the total power generated 950 MW will be sold to Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL and 50 MW will be sold to government at Rs.3.26 per unit. The company had received fuel linkage letter from SECL, WCL and Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd
