S M Infra Power is planning to set up a 660 MW coal based thermal project using super critical technology in Gangi, Kasar & Lotan villages in Chitrangi Taluk in Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh. Land required for the project is around 617 acres of which 137 acres is single crop land while the rest is wasteland. Coal requirement is estimated at 3.3 mtpa. Water requirement for the project will be met from Rihand Dam which is 40 km away from the project site. The project has received environmental clearance. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 37,000 million. The company has signed an MoU with the state government of Madhya Pradesh.
SLS Energy Pvt Ltd plans to set up thermal power generation unit in Barela village in Ghansore Tehsil in Seoni District of Madhya Pradesh. The project involves setting up of 2x660 MW coal based unit with an investment of Rs.70,000 million. The unit will consume 6.5 mtpa and coal will be procured from SECL (Shahdol/Mand)
The company had initiated feasibility study.
