Luxor Energy is setting up 2X660 MW Super Critical Coal Based Thermal Power Plant near village Mulwad, in Basavana Bagewadi Taluk, in Bijapur District , in Karnataka. Land identified is in KIADB Industrial area. Land requirement will be 900 acres, out of which 215 acres is single crop agricultural land and 700 acres is others land. The land requirement of 900 acres includes the ash dyke area of 234 acres. Coal requirements will be 6.93 MTPA. Coal will be obtained from domestic coal block and imported coal block in a ratio of 70:30 respectively. Ash pond/dyke area will be 234 acres. Water requirement will be 4430 cum/hr, which will be sourced from Almati Reservoir.
