Reliance Energy to expand 52 MW project at Zuarinagar

Reliance Energy to expand by adding 52 MW thermal plant at Sancoale, in Zuarinagar in Goa. A combined cycle power plant of 48 MW capacity is already existing at the site based on Naptha as fuel. The expansion project will be set up in existing plant premises which has 12.8257 ha of land hence no additional land will be required. Water requirement is estimated as 143 m3/hr and will be supplied by the PWD, Goa. Gas will be obtained from Dabhol through Dabhol ? Bangalore pipeline. In the existing power plant there are 1 GTG+ 1HRSG+ 1 STG. After expansion, configuration of the turbines will be 2 GTG+ 2 HRSG+1 STG. Present STG is operating at 16 MW instead of 36 MW capacity. The company is also planning to switch its existing plant run by naphtha to natural gas.
