ABG Cement is planning to set up a 12 MW captive power plant in Pandarak cement works in Barh district of Bihar. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 5486 million. The project is currently under planning stage.
Arissan Power Ltd is planning to set up 1320 MW thermal power plant based on super critical technology in s Domuhan, Jamua, Kakwara, Garbaran and Nandiraidih villages in Banka & Katoriya Taluk, in Banka district of Bihar The project cost is estimated at Rs. 72,600 million.
Land requirement will be restricted to 900 acres which comprises of single crop and barren land. Coal requirement will be 7.15 MTPA. Water requirement of 40 MCM, which will be sourced from Orhni Dam, 6.0 Km from the site.

Cement Manufacturing Co is planning to set up a 500 MW coal based thermal power project in Kahalgaon in Bhagalpur district in Bihar with an investment of Rs. 20,000 million. The project was announced in March 2007. State Investment Planning Board (SIPB) also gave its approval in the same month. The company has also identified 600 Acres of land at project site. It has also submitted application to Ministry of Coal (MOC) for coal block allocation.
