Assam Power Generation Co to set up 1 x 100 MW Phase-I Namrup Replacement Combined Cycle Power Project

Assam Power Generation Co to set up 1 x 100 MW Phase-I Namrup Replacement Combined Cycle Power Project in Namrup in Disburgarh district of Assam. The proposed power plant will be a replacement of the existing plant having a total installed capacity of 134 MW and the existing gas linkage of 0.66 MMSCMD is sufficient for phase-I unit. The water requirement for the project will be met from Dillighat river. It may be noted, there is a Elephant Reserve at Jeypore and Wildlife Sanctuary named Dehing Patkai Wildlife Sanctuary is at 345.00 mtr and 5,450 mtr respectively from the project site. The total project cost is estimated at Rs.. 7248 million.

The EPC contract for the project was awarded to M/s BHEL in December 2008. § Total Project Cost: 694 Crores. § Zero Date: 09-02-09. § Completion Period: 35 Months. § Schedule date of commissioning of the project: January 2012. § Soil investigation work of the project site is already been completed. § Detail Engineering in progress. The project is likely to go operational in January 2012

Globe Steel & Power plans 1320 MW coal power project

Globe Power & Steel Ltd of Prithvi group is planning to set up 2×660 Super Critical Technology MW Coal Based thermal power plant in Naitor village in Kamrup district in Assam. Land requirement shall be restricted to 737 acres which are govt. fallow land. Coal requirement will be 5.2 MTPA. Water will be sourced from Brahmaputra River. Gerua Nadi flows at 200 m in the North and Peta Bakala nala flows within plant area.

Satyam North East Thermal Power plans 300 MW coal project in Kharsang

Satyam North East Power Ltd is planning to set up a 300 MW (2 x 150 MW) coal based thermal project in Kharsang village in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh. Coal required for the project is around 0.931 mtpa. Land required for the project is 80 hectares. The project has received environmental clearance in August 2011.
