Durgapur Projects Ltd to set up Extension (1x300 MW) Unit -7A at Durgapur in Burdwan district of West Bengal. The unit will be located within the municipal limit of the Durgapur City. No additional land would be acquired for this project. Coal will be used as fuel. The estimated water requirement of 1172 m3/hour will be met from Damodar river.

Damodar Valley Corp to set up 2x 600 MW Raghunathpur thermal power project stage II in Raghunathpur in Purulia district of West Bengal. The total land requirement for phase-I and phase-II put together is 1820 acres, which includes 309 acres for stage-II, which has already been acquired. No additional land is required for stage-II. Super critical technology will be adopted. The water requirement for the stage-II is estimated as 4600 m3/hr. Coal will be used as fuel.

DPSC Ltd to set up 2 x 250 MW thermal plant at Dishergarh

DPSC Ltd to set up 2 x 250 MW thermal plant at Dishergarh in Burdwan district of West Bengal. The total land requirement for the project is 126.87 acres, out of which 18.59 acres is under the possession of the company. The identified land is reported to be partly in the command area of Eastern Coalfield Ltd. Water requirement is 2205 m3/hr, which will be obtained from river Damodar. Coal requirement is estimated as 2.74 million TPA, which will be obtained from captive mines to be allocated by Ministry of coal. A bi-flue stack of 220 m height will be provided. The ash generated will be backfilled in the mined out area.

CESC Limited to set up 2x 300 MW Phase I thermal project at Haldia

CESC Limited to set up 2x 300 MW Phase I thermal project at Haldia in Purba Midnapur district in West Bengal. The proposal is for setting up of 600 MW (2x300 MW) coal based thermal power plant as phase-I. In addition subsequently two more phases of 660 MW each will be implemented. The land requirement is estimated as 800 acres. Water requirement is 41472 m3/day, which will be obtained from river Hooghly. Coal requirement is estimated as 3.38 million TPA to be obtained from North Karanpura Coalfields.
