NTPC plans Rihand Stage III ( 2x500 MW) thermal power generation unit

NTPC plans Rihand Stage III ( 2x500 MW) thermal power generation unit in Sonebhadra district of Uttar Pradesh. The new power generation unit will come up in an area of 730 acres of which 430 acres of land will be allotted for ash disposal. It may be noted, coal linkage for unit-I has been obtained from Northern Coalfields, while for II it will be drawn from the coal block allotted to NTPC (Pakri Barwadih Coal Block). The project may receive statutory clearances shortly.

NTPC to set up Meja phase I thermal project at Meja in Allahabad district of Uttar Pradesh. The project will be based on super critical technology. The land requirement is estimated as 2500 acres. Coal requirement is estimated as 7.49 million TPA, which will be obtained from Central Coalfields Ltd. Water requirement is estimated as 65 cusecs, which will be obtained from Ganga river.

Sangam Power Generation Co. Ltd to set up 2 x 660 MW thermal power project at Karchana

Sangam Power Generation Co. Ltd to set up 2 x 660 MW thermal power project at Karchana in Allahabad district of Uttar Pradesh. . Super critical technology will be adopted. The land requirement is estimated as 584.949 ha. The water requirement is 4600 m3/hr, which will be obtained from Yamuna river at a distance of 60 km. Coal requirement is 22176 TPD, which will be obtained from Northern Coalfields Ltd
