Mohan Breweries & Distilleries Ltd to expand its biomass power plant from 12 to 18 MW in Palayaseevaram in Kanchipuram district of Tamil Nadu. The total land area of the project is 23.67 acres. Biomass, fire wood and paddy husk will be used as fuel. The DG sets (322 KVA and 822 KVA) will also be kept to meet the power requirement during break down and that their usage likely not to exceed 30 days in a year. Water requirement is estimated as 1906 kld, which will be met from groundwater.

Sakthi Sugars Ltd to set up 35 MW cogen plant at Mathur village in Shivagangai district of Tamil Nadu. The proposal is for expansion of the existing 5.5 MW cogeneration power plant to 35 MW by installing one number of 135 TPH boiler. The total area of the cogeneration project is 41.1 acres. Bagasse and coal will be used as fuel. However, coal will be used only off season

ETL Infrastructure Services Ltd to set up 18 MW cogen power plant at Vadamugam Kangeyampalyam in Erode district of Tamil Nadu. It would consist of a textile park and cogeneration in processing zone and common service facilities. The land requirement is 256.42 acres. Water requirement of about 4400 m3/day will be met from water supply scheme of New Tirupur Area Development Corporation Ltd. AFBC boilers with lime injection with efficiency of sulphur removal of upto 80% will be installed. Air cooled condensers will be provided. 100% ash utilization (fly ash and bottom ash) will be achieved from day one.
