Rajasthan Thermal Projects

Rajasthan government is planning to add 4780 MW in its upcoming seventh five year plan

Rajasthan government is planning to invest Rs. 210,000 million to set up 6 more power plant, of this 3 projects will be of super critical plants of 1320 MW each at Suratgarh, Chhabra and Banswara. Banswar project had been allocated to private sector. Other 3 plants will be 330 MW Keshoraipatan project , Ramgarh 160 MW and 330 MW Dholpur MW. The government has also initiated tendering process for these projects.

Binani Cement Ltd to set up 120 MW pithead captive power plant at Nimbri

Binani Cement Ltd to set up 120 MW pithead captive power plant at Nimbri in Degana tehsil in Nagaur district of Rajasthan. The land requirement is 23 ha, which is reported to be grazing land. Lignite will be used as fuel. CFBC boiler with lime injection having efficiency of sulphur removal upto 90% will be installed. Water requirement is estimated as 6,000 m3/day, which will be obtained from mine discharge. The lignite will have sulphur content upto 3% and ash content upto 23%.

Neyveli Lignite Corp to set up 250 MW thermal project at Barsinagar

Neyveli Lignite Corp to set up 250 MW thermal project at Barsinagar in Bikaner district of Rajasthan. The project will be located within the same premises where 2x125 MW project is under implementation. No additional land will be acquired. Lignite will be obtained from Halda Mine Block at a distance of about 15 km. CFBC boiler with lime injection having an efficiency of sulphur removal upto 95% will be provided. The water requirement is 12.5 cusecs, which will be obtained from Indira Gandhi Nagar Pariyojna main canal.
