KVK Nilachal Power Private Ltd to set up 2x300 MW Coal Fired TPP at Village Gurudijhatia in Cuttack district of Orissa. The proposal is for setting up of a 600 MW (2x300 MW) coal based thermal power plant at Gurudijhatia in Cuttack District, Orissa. About 1000 acres of land has been identified. Coal requirement is 3.2 million TPA, which will be obtained from Talchar Coalfields at a distance of about 100 km. Coal will be transported by rail upto Gurudijhatia Railway Station and thereafter through private siding upto track hopper. Water requirement is estimated as 1870 m3/hr, which will be drawn from the Mahanadi river through 8 km long pipeline. Closed circuit cooling with induced draft cooling towers will be provided. COC of 4 - 5 will be adopted.

OCL India Ltd to set up 54 MW captive thermal project at Rajganpur

OCL India Ltd to set up 54 MW captive thermal project at Rajganpur in Sundergarh district of Orissa. The proposal is for setting up of a coal beneficiation plant having capacity of 1.0 million TPA and 2x27 MW captive thermal power plant using washery rejects. The power plant will be based on CFBC technology. Air cooled condensers will be provided. Coal will be obtained from Radhikapur West in Talchar. The land requirement for the project is 6.11 ha. Total water requirement is 2886 m3/day, which will be obtained from Sankh river.

KVK Nilachal Power to set up 1400 MW (4x350 MW) Power Project at Kanderei

KVK Nilachal Power to set up 1400 MW (4x350 MW) Power Project at Kanderei in Cuttack district of Orissa. The proposal is for setting up of 4x350 MW coal based power project to be implemented in two phases. The first phase will be of 350 MW and 2nd phase will be of 1050 MW. The total land requirement is 984 acres, which involves 158 acres of forestland. Coal requirement is estimated as 7.46 million TPA, which will be obtained from Mahanadi Coalfields. Water requirement is 45 cusecs, which will be met from river Mahanadi at a distance of about 12 km.
