Gupta Coalfields & Washeries to set up 2x60 MW Power Project at Ghuggus in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra. The project will be based on washery rejects as fuel. The fuel will be transported by closed conveyor from washery to plant site. The short fall, if any, will be met by use of coal which will be supplied from Nerad Coal Block of Malegaon, WCL. The total land requirement will be 56 ha, which includes 24 ha for plant ha, 14 ha ash pond, 4 ha water reservoir and 14 ha under greenbelt. The water requirement is estimated as 11,400 m3/day, which will be obtained from Wardha river. CFBC boilers with lime injection will be installed. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 3640 million.
