Shirpur Power Pvt. Ltd to set up 300 MW thermal power project at Nardana in Dhule district of Maharashtra. The project will be based on CFBC technology. The coal requirement is estimated as 1.2 million TPA. Blended coal (Indian and Imported) will be used as fuel. Water will be obtained from Sulewade Barrage. A stack of height 150 m will be provided. Closed circuit cooling system to be provided.

Ind Barath Power (Konkan) Ltd to set up 3x150 MW Thermal Power Project at village Waral in Mhasla Taluk in Raigad district of Maharashtra. The land requirement is estimated as 400 acres. Imported / domestic coal will be used. Cooling water will be obtained from Rajpuri Creek and boiler make up water will be obtained from Golarecha Dam.

Sophia Power Co to set up 2640 MW Coal based TPP at Nandgaonpet

Sophia Power Co to set up 2640 MW (3x660 Stage I and 1x660 MW stage II) Coal based TPP at Nandgaonpet in Amaravati district of Maharashtra . The site is reported to be in notified industrial area of MIDC. Land requirement is 1350 acres. Water requirement is 9,000 m3/hr and will be drawn from Upper Wardha Dam. Super critical technology will be adopted. Coal requirement is 13 million TPA.
