Mukand Ltd to set up 15 MW captive power plant at Ginigera

Mukand Ltd to set up 15 MW captive power plant at Ginigera in Koppal district of Karnataka. Waste gases from the blast furnace will be used as fuel for the project. The plant will be located within the existing premises the land requirement for the project is 2 acres. The water requirement is estimated as 1472 KLD which will be obtained from Tungbhadra dam from the existing raw water reservoir. It is estimated that 195kld of waste water is likely to be generated. The waste water will be used within the steel plant.

Ind-Bharat Power (Karwar) Ltd to set up 2x150 MW in Hankon

Ind-Bharat Power (Karwar) Ltd to set up 2x150 MW in Hankon in Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka. The land requirement for the project is estimated as 200 acres. Potable water requirement is estimated as 815 m3/day and for cooling purpose its requirement is 22,800 m3/day. Coal requirement is estimated as 1.05 million TPA. The project will use imported coal.

Shri Siddeshwar Sugars to set up 14 MW cogeneration project at Telgi

Shri Siddeshwar Sugars to set up 14 MW cogeneration project at Telgi in Bijapur district of Karnataka. The land requirement is estimated as 66 ha. The water requirement is estimated as 1370 m3/day, which will be obtained from Krishna river. Baggase and coal will be used as fuel. The coal to be used will have a maximum sulphur content of 0.6% and ash content of 34%. A stack of height 69 m will be provided.
