Jayaswals Neco to set up 135 MW Thermal Power Project at Moitra in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand. Coal requirement is estimated as 1915 TPD, which will be met from the middlings and rejects from Moitra Washery. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 5675 million.
Jharkhand Integrated Power, a wholly owned subsidiary of Power Finance Corp is to set up 4000 MW Tilaiya Ultra Mega Power Project at village Tilaya in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand. The land requirement for the project is 2695 acres, which includes 645 acres for greenbelt. Reservoir area will be limited to 100 acres only. Coal will be obtained from North Karanpura Coalfields at a distance of about 70 km through MGR. Water requirement of 135 cusecs will be drawn from Tilaiya Reservoir. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 160000 million. It may be noted, Kodarma Sanctuary is located 16 kms away from the project site.
Tata Power Co to set up 120 MW Coal based Thermal Power Project Expansion Unit 5 in Jojobera in Jamshedpur in East Singhbum district of Jharkhand. Coal requirement is estimated at 1500 TPD, which will be obtained from West Bokaro. The land requirement is 5.2 ha for the main power plant, which is available within the existing plant of Tata Power. The water requirement for the proposed unit no. 5 will be met out of the existing allocation of 48 mld. The auxillary fuel will be used during startup only and its requirement is estimated as 243 kld. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 6200 million.
