Haryana Power Generation Corporation to set up 1320 MW Coal Based TPP at Jharli in Jhajjar district of Haryana. The project involves setting up of a 1320 MW coal based thermal power plant using conventional boilers (sub critical technology) at villages Jharli, Khanpur Kurd, Khanpur Kalan and Wazirpur in District Jhajjar, Haryana. The total land requirement is 1215 acres. The estimated water requirement is 5,000 m3/hr, which will be obtained from Jawharlal Nehru Canal of Western Yamuna Canal. Coal requirement is estimated as 5.78 million TPA. Re-circulating type of cooling system would be provided. Dry fly ash collection system to be adopted.
