Sterling Energy to set up 1320 MW Thermal Power Plant at Nada/Devla

Sterling Energy to set up 1320 MW Thermal Power Plant at Nada/Devla villages in Bharuch district of Gujarat. The land requirement is estimated as 1200 acres. Seawater will be used for cooling. Close cycle cooling system will be adopted. Fresh water requirement is estimated as 60 mld, which will be obtained from Sardar Sarovar Canal Nigam Ltd. Imported coal will be used as fuel. Its requirement is estimated as 6 million TPA. Coal will be received at Dahej and from thereby rails upto Jambusar. It is proposed to construct a railway siding from Jambusar to Nada/Devla villages (about 20 km). No jetty is proposed as part of this project. The coal to be used will have sulphur content of 0.7%.

Reliance Industries to set up 32 MW thermal plant at Kharadpada

Reliance Industries to set up 32 MW Gas based Captive Power and Waste Heat Recovery Plant at Kharadpada Naroli, UT of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The land requirement is estimated as 1500 sq.m. Water requirement is estimated as 2,300 kld, which will be obtained from river Daman Ganga.

Sanghi Industries to expand Captive Co-generation Lignite based Thermal Power Project

Sanghi Industries to expand Captive Co-generation Lignite based Thermal Power Project (2x30 MW) Phase-I and (2x30 MW) Phase-II at village Akari in Kutch district of Gujarat. The project will be located within the land available in the existing premises. About 14 ha of land would be required. No additional land would be acquired. The plant will be based on lignite as fuel, however, alternate fuels namely imported coal and pet coke are also proposed. CFBC technology will be used. The lignite requirement is 125 TPH and limestone requirement as 27 TPH. It will have a sulphur content of 1.81% and ash content of 10.43%. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 4850 million. It may be noted, the project site is located about 14 km from away from Narayan Sarovar Sanctuary.
