Rainbow Papers to set up 10 MW Co-gen Power Project at village Rajpur

Rainbow Papers to set up 10 MW Co-gen Power Project at village Rajpur in Kalol in Mehesana district of Gujarat. The proposal is for setting up of a 10 MW captive power plant as an expansion of the existing 5 MW plant. The total land area available is 23.4045 ha. The proposed expansion plant will be located within the existing site. No additional land will be acquired. AFBC boilers with lime injection having 60% efficiency of sulphur removal will be used. The additional water requirement will be 800 kld, which will be met from groundwater. Coal / saw dust / lignite will be used as fuel. A stack of height 85 m to be provided.

Essar Hazira Power SEZ to set up 2x150 MW Essar Coal Based Power plant at Suvali

Essar Hazira Power SEZ to set up 2x150 MW Essar Coal Based Power plant at Suvali in Hazira in Surat district of Gujarat. The proposed power plant will supply power to the Essar Steel Plant to be located within the SEZ at Hazira; however, the proposed power plant does not form part of SEZ. The power plant will be based on CFBC technology. Coal requirement is estimated as 2688 TPD. Imported coal and / or petroleum coke will be used. Coal will have sulphur content of 0.8% and petcoke will have sulphur content of 5%. Limestone requirement is estimated as 200 TPD. Water requirement is estimated as 21050 m3/day, which will be met from Variav pumping station, which receive water from Kakrapar Dam.

The total land requirement for the project is 405 ha. Seawater will be used for cooling. Imported coal will be used as fuel and its requirement is estimated as 5 million TPA. A jetty is also proposed as part of the project.
