Avantha Power & Infrastructure is planning to set up 1320 MW thermal project in Gujarat which is in planning stage. APIL has also entered into MOUs (in Jan 2010) to explore options of acquiring coal mines in Indonesia for USD60 million and we believe that these could be towards the 1.3GW planned project in Gujarat, which is still in nascent stages of development.

Bharuch Power plans mega 7200 MW gas based project

Bharuch Power Ltd ( A Anil Dhiubhai Ambani Group co) is planning to set up a 7200 MW (9x800 MW) gas based thermal power plant in village Khanpur-Deh, in Jambusar Taluk, in Bharuch District , in Gujarat. Land requirement of 1900 acres have been alloted by the state government and the project will use desalinated water to meet its requirement.

Binani Cement plans 610 MW coal based project in Damlej

Binani Cement is planning to set up 610 MW coal based project in Damlej in Junagadh in Gujarat. The company has signed an MoU with the state government of Gujarat in January 2011 in the Vibrant Gujarat summit. The work for the project has been entrusted to Binani Infratech Ltd, a subsidiary of Binani Industries. The 610 MW power plant will be built in phases of 110 MW (2x55 MW ), 210 MW and 210 MW.
