Topworth Steels & Power to set up 600 MW Thermal Power Project (Ph-I) at Raigarh in Chhattisgarh. The project will be based on sub critical technology. The coal requirement is estimated as 4.22 million TPA, which will be obtained from SECL by road / rail. Water requirement is 23 million m3/annum, which will be obtained from Mahanadi river. Land requirement is 660 acres. Water will be transported through 40 km long underground pipeline. Company has signed MOU with Chhattisgarh Govt for 600MW and has already appointed team of power professionals for project development work. 1500 Acres land for the Power plant is already identified in Village Sapnai in Raigarh Dist. Presently Land procurement is under progress. Coal Linkages already applied for and expected soon. Coal Blocks in Chhattisgarh assured by State Govt. to all Companies who have the MOU for Power Project. Detailed Project report is under preparation. State Govt. is putting up its own New Grid line whose substation is at Kotra Road which is 12 k.m from Raigarh and 30 k.m. from the proposed site.
