Chambal Infrastructure Ventures to set up 1320 MW at Kaunli

Chambal Infrastructure Ventures to set up 1320 MW (2x660 MW) at Kaunli , Saraipalli and Kenapalli, Tehsil Dabhra in Janjgir- Champa district of Chhattisgarh. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 73,000 million. The project will be based on super critical technology. The land requirement is estimated as 1250 acres. Water requirement is 35 MCM/year, which will be obtained from river Mahanadi. Coal requirement is 7.3 million TPA at 100% PLF. The MoU was signed with state government in February 2009.

Latest News

The company has not acquired land and has submitted documents to ITCOL for assistance in land acquisition. Chambal Energy (Chhattisgarh) Ltd has been formed as a special purpose vehicle to implement the project.
