Adani Mining is planning to set up a 1080 MW coal based thermal power project using the coal rejects from Parsa East and Kente Basan mines. Adani's own subsidiary Parsa Kente Collieries Ltd has applied for mining lease to operate the mines, but was rejected 3 times by the environmental ministry as the mines falls in a rich eco system. However, land acquisition is going on briskly.
The project will see progress on environmental clearance of mining in Parsa East and Kente Basan
Adhunik Natural Resources plans 1320 MW (2x660 MW ) thermal unit in Janjgir -Champa district in Chhattisgarh. The company has acquired 35 acres of land for the project. It has called for bids under International Competitive Bidding for BTG and in January 2011. It is yet to get fuel linkage, statutory clearances and financial closure.
Fuel linkages had been applied for and has identified 35 acres of the required 1260 acres. Environmental clearance applied for and financial closure is yet to start. The project is likely to go operational in 2013. Fitchner Consulting has been appointed for preparation for detailed project preparation and to assist in selection of BTG contractor.
Bharat Energy Ventures Ltd (a subsidiary of BPL Ltd) is planning to set up a 300 MW coal based thermal power project in Haridi village in Champa district of Chhattisgarh.
