R.K.M. Powergen to set up 4x350 MW Thermal Power Project at Uchpinda in Dabar Taluk in Janjgir –Champa district of Chhattisgarh. The land requirement for the project is 900 acres. Water requirement is 122784 m3/day and will be sourced from Mahanadi River. Coal linkage is for 350 MW and coal from captive coal block (Fatehpur east of SECL) is for 1000 MW. The coal will be transported through rail to the coal yard and from coal yard to the plant through conveyor. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 59500 million.
Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board to set up 3x500 MW Coal based Thermal Power Project at Bhaiyathan in Sarguja district of Chhattisgarh. Coal requirement is estimated as 24,165 TPD, which will be met from captive coal mine blocks namely Paturia and Gidhmuri at a distance of about 90 km. Coal will be transported by a common rail link to the project site. There would be no MGR for coal transportation for this project. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 86620 million.
Arasmeta Captive Power Company (belonging to KSK Energy Ventures group ) to set up 1x43 MW Coal Based Power Plant (Phase-II) at Gopalnagar in Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh. The project will be located as an expansion Phase-II to its existing power plant to meet requirement of captive users. The land requirement for the project is 3.5 ha. No additional land will be acquired for the expansion project. Water requirement of 520 kld will be met out of the allocation made under Phase-I from river Lilagarh. Air cooled condensers will be provided. The coal for the project will be obtained through e-auction. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 1,895 million. The project is likely to go operational by mid of 2011.
