Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board to set up 2x500 MW Thermal Power Plant at Marwa in Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh. The coal requirement is estimated to be 742.4 tonnes/hr. The total water requirement is estimated as 3550 m3/hr, which will be obtained from Hasdeo river. The land requirement for the project is 508 ha, which includes 174 ha for greenbelt and 140 ha for ash disposal. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 44,980 million.
The first unit of 500 MW is expected to go operational in September 2012 and the second unit by November 2012.
S.V. Power to set up 2x2.5 MTPA Coal Washery & 2x60 MW Coal Washery Rejects based Power Plant at Reki in Korba district of Chhattisgarh. The total land requirement for the project is 219.91 acres. Out of this, 85 acres will be for greenbelt and 35 acres for ash dyke. The ash dyke will be 500 m away from HFL of Lilagarh river and the coal is to be transported through closed trucks. The water for the project will be obtained from river Lilagarh at a distance of about 1km. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 4460 million.
Jindal Steel & Power 2x150 MW Middling and Coal fine based Thermal Power Plant in Dongamahua in Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh. It will use CBFC technology and middlings from the washery as well as coal fines will be used as fuel and will be transported by conveyor. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 10500 million.
