Bharat Aluminium Co to set up 1200 MW coal based TPP at village Risda in Korba in Chhattisgarh. The land requirement is estimated as 355 acres. The coal requirement is estimated as 19600 TPD, which will be obtained from South Eastern Coalfields Ltd. through MGR system. Water requirement is estimated as 3100 m3/hr, which will be obtained from Hasedeo river. Ash will be disposed in abandoned red mud ponds using high concentration slurry disposal system. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 48100 million.
Spectrum Coal & Power to set up 50 MW Coal Washery Reject & Coal based Thermal Power Project located in village Ratija in Korba district of Chhattisgarh. The power plant will be located near the washery within the 79 ha of available land. The land requirement for the project is 30 ha. Washery rejects and coal will be used as fuel in the ratio of 3-5:1. CFBC technology will be adopted. The water requirement for the project is 6000 m3/day and will be met from Lilagar river. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 2020 million.
Lanco Amarkantak Power to set up 600 MW (Expn. from 600 MW to 1200 MW) Amarkantak Thermal Power Station unit 3 in Korba district of Chhattisgarh. The total land requirement for the power station is 881 acres. The land requirement for the proposed expansion unit is 318 acres. The water requirement is estimated as 46898 m3/day, which will be obtained from Hasedeo river. Coal requirement is estimated as 8832 TPD, which will be obtained from Korba / Raigarh mines of SECL. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 24900 million.
