Athena Chhattisgarh Power to set up 2x600 MW Coal based Thermal Power Project in village Singhitarai in Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh. Land requirement is 1000 acres. Coal will be used as fuel and requirement will be 5.26 MTPA, which will be obtained from captive coal block (Fatehpur east block) of SECL mines. Coal will have sulphur content of 0.5 and ash content of 28.2%. Water requirement will be 40 cusec and will be met from Mahanadi River at a distance of 23 km by pipeline. COC of 5 will be adopted.
Environmental Clearance has been received. However a fresh Public Hearing has been conducted in early April 2010 as part of the process.
Consent for Establishment (CFE) from CECB (Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board): CFE application has been submitted to CECB .
Fuel Supply Agreement (FSA): LoA of the coal linkage for first unit of project has been received from SECL.
Captive Coal Block (SPV - Fatehpur East Coal Pvt Ltd): Forest Clearance has been obtained for the Drilling work. Drilling, Coal Sampling & Geo physical logging has been started.
Long Term Open Access (LTOA) for transmission facilities grant for 755 MW has been received from PGCIL. Govt of Chhattisgarh is in the process to apply for LTOA for transmission facilities for balance 445 MW. BPTA has been signed.
Power Off-take & PPA: Draft PPA for 37.5% of power from the STPP is under preparation at Chhattisgarh Power Trading Company and is expected to be received shortly. PPA for balance of power sale has been tied up with PTC in May, 2009 for long term & short term basis.
Energy Infratech Pvt Ltd has been retained as consultant, Zeus Management as financial advisor. Tender bids for BTG and BOP were finalized in 2009.
SKS Ispat and Power to set up 1200 MW ( 4 x 300 MW)Coal based Thermal Power Project at village Binjkote, Darramura, Badejampally, Gindola in Kharsia Tehsil in Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh. The coal requirement is 6.02 Million TPA (90% PLF), which will be obtained from SECL mine and transported through road/rail. Water requirement is estimated as 4500 m3/hr and will be met from river Mahanadi.
The company is in talks with Chinese manufacturers such as Shanghai Electric and Harbin Power Equipment Co. Ltd for equipment. Fitchner Consulting has been appointed for owner's engineering services on package basis.
